What is a Spa Party?

A Spa Party is the perfect way to treat yourself and your friends to the luxuries of a day spa in a fun atmosphere at your home, hotel, or condo. We arrive with all the supplies necessary to set up for pedicures, manicures, facials or massages. We do pedicures and manicures in the living room/dining room, and for massages and facials, we bring massage tables, music and bedding and we perform those treatments in a master bedroom, where it is quiet and peaceful, away from the group. Depending on the number of people attending the spa party, we will bring adequate number of estheticians to perform the treatments(usually between two to four estheticians), and will try to keep the spa party under 3 or 4 hours maximum.

What geographic areas do you serve?

We are currently serving the Greater Vancouver area, including Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Port Moody, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Ladner, Tsawwassen, White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley. Travel fee may apply to some area, please contact us for more information.

Do you have an office or a spa location?

We are a mobile spa business, so we do not have any fixed office or spa location.  We bring the spa to you!

What forms of payment do you accept?  Are taxes and gratuities included in the price of the services?

We gladly accept Cash, Visa and Master.  Our prices are subject to GST.  Gratuities are not included in any service, if you are pleased with the service it is standard etiquette to give a gratuity of between 15% and 20%.

Do I have to live in a house to receive a treatment?

No, we will bring our services to where ever you need:  an apartment, condo, hotel room, office.

How much space do I need for a spa party?

For massages and facials, you will need a private uncluttered 8'x 7' space, eg. master bedroom.  For pedicures and manicures, you will need a spacious living room or dining area where a nice couch for guests to sit comfortably while receiving their treatments. You can also offer Chair massages at your event.  The Chair can utilize a small corner.  We have been known to utilize any size space effectively.

Does a parent need to stay at the kids or teens party?

We kindly ask at least one parent stay for the duration of the party.  This parent is responsible for any issues that may arise.  Other adults are also welcome to stay, and enjoy the fun.

What do I need to provide?

Our esthetician(s) will bring everything needed for our spa party services (basins, stools, towels, polishes, etc...), but it's up to you to supply food and beverages. For kids & teens party, we suggest having a movie playing, or games and crafts for the children while they are waiting for their turn.  For more info, check out our spa party ideas.

How many estheticians will you be sending?

We will send 1 esthetician per $150 worth of services ordered.  For example, if you order a total of $400 of services, we will send 2 estheticians to service your party and at $450 total, we will send 3 estheticians.

Is there a minimum number of people required for a spa party?

No, there is no minimum, however there is a minimum booking fee of $150 as a whole group, not per person.

Do all the guests have to have the same services done?

No, you can feel free to mix and match from any of the services from our wide selection.

How far ahead should I make my appointment?

You should make your appointment with us as soon as you have a date in mind.  You should also have a couple of backup dates in case someone already has that date booked.  At latest, please have all your details confirmed with us at least 2 weeks beforehand.

How long does a party usually take?

It depends on which services you and your party guests select and also on how many estheticians are servicing your party, we try to keep the spa party under 3 or 4 hours maximum. Please enquire with us directly for your personalized quote.

What is your procedure if someone is late or does not keep the appointment?

We provide a 30-minute grace period on all confirmed appointments. After that, we will leave and you will still be responsible for the full amount of the confirmed services. For spa parties and events, we cannot guarantee full-service if someone is late for their start time. If it fits into the party or event schedule, we will try to accommodate the late guest. For those who do not keep their appointments, the full fee is expected. However, if a guest does not show up at a party or event and you have paid for their services in advance, the other guests may take advantage of the treatments that had been previously reserved.

What products do you use?

We use a variety of products that we have found from experience to be of high quality.  For example, we use OPI and Gehwol products for manicures and pedicures, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics for makeup applications and Remy Laure products for facials.  We also use many different brand products for other services, which are too many to list here.  If you wish, please contact us directly for more information.

Do you provide any other entertainment?

We can provide some light relaxation music.  Other than that, we can only provide our excellent spa services to you.  You will need to organize your own food, drinks and other entertainment.

What should I wear when you come over?  Should I wear a robe?

Not necessary.  You can wear anything you feel comfortable in, it is your own home after all.  We do however suggest that if you need to wear shoes afterwards that they be open toe shoes or sandals so it allows the toe nail polish to dry.

What are your safety policies?

SPAradise is extremely conscious of maintaining hygiene, and as such we take every care to ensure that the highest possible standards of cleanliness are adhered to.  Where possible, we provide disposable items, such as gloves, nail files, foot files, orange wood sticks and buffers in order to maintain this standard.  Health Guidelines are followed with regards to sanitizing all esthetics tools, which are not disposable.

Does OPI nail polish contain toxic ingredients like dibutyl phthalate, toluene and formaldehyde?

Since 2006, OPI has reformulated its entire line of Nail Lacquers, Nail Treatments, and Nail Hardeners to eliminate DBP (dibutyl phthalate)  and Toluene.
Formaldehyde has never been an ingredient in OPI Nail Lacquers or Nail Treatments.  Some OPI Nail Hardeners do contain formaldehyde, while others are formulated without it to give consumers a choice. The levels of formaldehyde are more than four times lower than the safe levels established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
